No naturalization papers for Philip or and LaBrune in Dubuque County. Death records start in 1880, and could find no obituary for Philip or
Ann. No information on where Philip is buried.The LaBrune brothers George and Baptist ran a tavern in Rickardsville that was a rendezvous for the young French sportsmen.
George LaBrune , was married to Domitella________ at the old cathedral in Dubuque, in 1844, Bishop Loras officiating. George died 11 Apr 1873, Domitella died in Apr 1914. The census lists her name as Martha. Domitelle left suvivors Mrs Amab Cosley, Mrs Martin Cunningham, Mrs John W. Schwind, and John LaBrune of Dubuque; George N. and Joseph D. of Jefferson, South Dakota.
John B. LaBrune, was born 25 July 1842, in Ohio and when a boy moved to Rickardsville, residing on a farm in Rickardsville until 1928 when he
moved to Dubuque. He died 2 Mar 1930 in Dubuque leaving survivors John P., of Dubuque and Mrs Frank Schermer of Rickardsville.An article in a 1903 paper stated that the LaBrune name appears frequently in the four little cemeteries that that are near Rickardsville.
