The Ihde's who lived in Clayton County, IA were from Mecklenburg-Schwerin. The Meyer girls who married these Ihde's were from a Meyer family who are from Eldena, Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Germany. I show the men's father,Johann Friedrich "Christian" Ide/Ihde was from Suelte, Parish of Uelitz, Meckenburg-Schwerin born August 11, 1825. Does this help you out any?
