Postville, Ia., Nov. 4. – Special: Mrs. Henry Casten died at her home Sunday evening. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, where the Rev. R. B. Garten officiated. Interment was made in the Postville Cemetery.

Mrs. Henry Casten was born Jan. 15, 1870 in Mecklenburg, Germany, as the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Foels and as a child four years old came with her parents to Postville.

In 1892 she was married to Henry Casten and their union was blessed with five children, three of them proceeding their mother in death.

The family has been living many years on a farm in Post Township and about 20 years ago retired and moved to Postville.

The deceased is survived by her husband and two daughters, Mrs. Hermann Geick, Rock Rapids, Ia., and Miss Melinda Casten at home. There are also two brothers, Adolph and William Foels, and one sister, Mrs. George Oldag.
