Died, at his home in Elk township, Friday evening, July 30, Hugh A. Rizer, Sr. Mr. Rizer was born in Virginia in 1817, from whence he removed with his parents to Ohio at an early age, and came to Elk township in 1852 and settled on his farm where he has resided until his death. Mr. Rizer was a faithful member of the M.E. church, and was loved and respected by all who knew him. His remains were interred in Wooldridge cemetery on Sunday, Aug. 3d. A large concourse of people followed the remains to their last resting place, although a drizzling rain prevailed throughout the day. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. L. McNamer, of Colesburg. The bereaved family have the sympathy of the entire community.

H. A. Rizer, Sr., died on Friday July 31st and was buried Sunday August 2nd. Mr. Rizer was an old settler. He leaves a large family of grown children, all of whom are a credit to the community. It can truly be said that a "good man has gone."
