Manchester, Ia. Nov 5 – Special: William A. Gemmill, 57, of this city, who died at Iowa City last Tuesday evening following an operation performed the Sunday previous, where held this Thursday afternoon at the home of his brother John W. Gemmill, on North Franklin Street here. The Rev. J. Frank Moore of the Manchester Community Church, had charge of the services, and the body was taken to the old home at McGregor for burial.

Mr. Gemmill was born on a farm near Monona, Iowa, Oct. 1, 1874. When a child he accompanied his parents to McGregor, and his life was later spent at Montana and Washington, where he was engaged in ranching. About six years ago he removed to Manchester to be near his sister, the late Mrs. Frank C. Hall, and has since made his home here. Surviving him are a brother and a sister, John W. Gemmill, and Miss Mary Gemmill, of Fayette.
