Tilson Dies Of Gunshot Wound
An apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound claimed the life of Kenneth Tilson, 37, a former resident of Monona, and of late from Fair Grove, Missouri, on Wednesday morning, November 5.
Visiting here, Tilson was preparing to return to Missouri that morning. Jim Howard, of Monona, reportedly had been with him earlier and had planned to take Tilson to Elkader to catch the bus. After returning from filling his car with gas, Howard found Tilson's body at about 9:00 a.m.
Tilson leaves his wife, the former Maxine Cook; two sons by a former marriage, Kenneth and Keith of Luana; his father, Gail, and step-mother, Ivanelle, of Chicago, and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, November 8, at Schultz's Funeral Home and burial was in the Monona City Cemetery.
