Services For K. Tilson

Funeral services for Kenneth Tilson were held Saturday, November 8, 1980, at 1:00 p.m. at Schultz's Funeral Home, Monona, Iowa, with Pastor Harold Ward officiating. Burial in the Monona City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Larry, Roger, Dean and Randy Glawe; Roger and Bill Tielbar and Jerry Howard.

Kenneth Gail Tilson, the son of Gail and Corella (Robinson) Tilson, was born July 19, 1943, at East Waterloo, Iowa. He received his education in the Waterloo School System.

He was united in marriage to Mary Jane Glawe and to this union two sons, Kenneth and Kevin, were born.

He enlisted in the Navy in August of 1962 and terminated his active duty in September of 1966 continuing in the Navy Reserve until 1968. He was united in marriage to Maxine Cook.

He had been residing in Fair Grove, Missouri. Through the years he has been employed by St. Joseph Medical Center of Wichita, Kansas, the American Pullman Company of Chicago, Clayton County, and at the time of his death he was employed by the Travel-Aid and Safety Association, Inc.

He died Wednesday, November 5, 1980, having reached the age of 37 years, 3 months, 16 days. Preceeding him in death was his mother.

Surviving him is his wife, Maxine; his two sons, Kenneth and Kevin of Luana; three step children, Lavetta Acridge, Rene French, Daniel Acridge; his father and step-mother, Ivanell; two brothers, Gary of Moline, Illinois, and David of Wichita, Kansas; his sister, Barbara Bean of Omaha, Nebraska; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
