Gaylord Thompson

Gaylord Thompson was born September 12, 1926, near Monona, Iowa to parents Archie and Eltha Kliefoth Thompson.

On October 29, 1955, Gaylord was united in marriage to Sandy Schmidt. To this union four children were born. The couple lived in Northeast Iowa all their lives. Gaylord was a truck driver for C. R. S. T. at the time of his death.

Gaylord died Thursday, January 3, 1991 in Tyler, Texas. Preceding him in death were his parents and two brothers, Gerald and Verdean.

Surviving is his wife, Sandy, two sons, Steven of Cedar Rapids and Daniel of Marquette, two daughters, Debra Montaque of Wheaton, Ill. and Sharyn Howard of Alanson, MI., two granddaughters, one brother, LeRoy of Monona and three sisters, Dorothy Miller of Des Moines, Aletha Bollman of Waverly and Irma Gunderson of Cedar Rapids.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 9, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Monona. Pastor Gene Kramer, officiating. Burial in Monona City Cemetery. Schultz's Funeral Home in Monona in charge of arrangements.
