You know when you to to the library and there are those big thick civil war books?  Each time you see them, you tell yourself, "I will have to read through those some day and see what it says about my ancestors regiment."  Well, here you go -- Fran has typed up all the historical sketches for each volunteer infantry unit.  Afterwards, are listed those men from Clinton County who served in that particular unit.  We hope we got them all.  If we missed any, please let us know.

We found these books at the Historical Museum's gene library and they have been generous enough to let us use them.  They originally belonged to the Gen'l N. B. Baker Post No. 88 of the GAR.  There is an interesting note on the inside cover that says copies can be purchased for $1.25 - the cost of publication.
