Based on what is located at ancestry.com, you may wish to contact Virgil Kester (vkester@pacbell.net) he seems to have done the most extensive research on the family of David Franklin Hunt. According to his work, Absalom Hunt and Mary Elliott died in the mid 1840s and David Franklin Hunt was the 7th child in a family of 11 or 12 children - all of whom were born in various counties in Indiana.
