Sandy, I checked further on the IGI and see that your David Franklin Hunt is shown there on the website ...same birthdate of April 27,. 1831...in Virgo, Indiana...and died Nov 27,. 1861. It further says that his father was Absalom Hunt and Mother was Mary Elliott. If you don't have access to the 1850 census or index...perhaps someone else on the list could find these people in 1850 ...probably in Indiana, Illinois or Iowa. I don't have access right now, but may be able to check in the next several days. Absalom should be pretty easy to find if he was still alive.
