This is really interesting. It almost sounds like our George Phillips because the name Eugene sounds like the son or step son he susposidly had. The only thing that doesn't match is that he was so nomadic he left his wife in Idaho for long periods of time without sending support for her or the kids. We suspect he was a Bigomist and had another family elsewhere. But from his history, I'm not sure if he was settled down enough to be a teacher. I'll check it out. Thanks for the informaion.
