From the 1900 Federal Census for Ward 6, Ottumwa, Wapello county, Iowa.

Address: 218 West Second Street.

Phillips, George, Head, White, Male, born Oct 1853, age 46, born Iowa, father born Ohio, mother born Tennessee, first married at age 26, occupation Teacher.
Phillips, Anna R., Wife, White, Female, born Oct 1858, age 41, born Iowa, father born Indiana, mother born Indiana. first married at age 26, 2 children both living.
Dennis, Eugene S., Step-son, born Feb 1886, age 14, Single, born Iowa, father born Indiana, mother born Iowa.

The 1910 Federal census for the 6th Ward shows the same information except child is no longer living with George and Anna. It also indicates that the current marriage is the second for both George and Anna.

The last entry I can find for George and Anna is in the 1920 Federal census for Fry Township, Tulsa County, Oklahoma. Same information. Both are listed as public school teachers.
