TOWNSEND, JENKS, GLOVER, OSBORNE, HATTON, ETC

I am seeking information about Edwin F. Townsend who supposedly did have a photography studio downtown Des Moines, Iowa at the turn of the century. Edwin may have related to a David Townsend who later was a set decorator for MGM working under the acclaimed designer/art director Cedric Gibbons from Brooklyn, New York. Edwin moved from Iowa to New York by 1915 and had a very successfull photography practice there up until his dealth in 1948. Any help is appreciated.
I am also seeking information about the parentage and backgrounds of Vivienne Osborne, Harriet Hilliard (of Ozzie and Harriet tv fame), Babe London (nee Jean Glover) and Frank Jenks, all of whom went to Hollywood and worked in the early movies. If anyone has information about links between Iowa and Hollywood, please let me know.
