Stacy and Hughes family
STACY, HUGHES, AND PARKER

Would like to correspond with members of the Stacy family. Abriam or Abiram Stacy born in Vermont in 1800 as a little boy his family moved to New York. As a young man he was living in Washington County,Indiana married (1) Lydia Barnard in 1821 and they had five children, Amy, Wright, Lydia, Darius and Thomas. Lydia Barnard Stacy died in 1845 and is buried in Washington County, Indiana. Abiram Stacy married Sophia Hamersley in Aug of 1845 and they would have four children, Elizabeth, William, Richard and Corkin B. (my gg grandfather). Abiram and Sophia moved to Monroe County, Iowa in about 1853 and then to Lucas County, in about 1865. Abiram and Sophia are buried in the Russell Cemetery in Lucas County. Some of the Stacy family including my gg grandfather Corkin B Stacy moved to Pratt County, Kansas in 1900. Corkin and his wife Sarah Jane (Hughes)Stacy's (daughter of Hamilton and Mary Ann (Burch) daughter Carrie Maud Stacy married Harlan R Parker in 1898 in Lucas County and they also followed Corkin and Sarah to Kansas.
