Gary,
William A. STACY (b. IN, circa 1848) m. Margaret ??? (b. ENGLAND, circa 1852) were enumerated with two daughters and a son in Washington, Lucas Co., IA, in the 1880 Census. This family group was enumerated in Kingman, Kingman Co., KS, in the 1900 Census. The two daughters were out of the household in 1900, but there were now two sons in the household. It would seem that William was the son of Abiram STACY & his 2nd wife, Sophia HAMERSLEY.
The elder of the two sons, George L. STACY, was b. ? June, 1877. He m. Maud E. CROSBY, in Monroe Co. (which borders Lucas Co.) IA, April 24, 1901. George obviously returned to IA from KS to marry.
Do you have any record(s) of George & Maud? It seems likely that they were the George & Edith (apparently Maud's middle name) STACY enumerated, without children, in Farmington, San Juan Co., NM, in the 1910 Census, and as George L. & Edith M. STACY enumerated in Grand Junction, Mesa Co., CO, in the 1920 Census.
I'm researching the CROSBY family. Maud Edith was a daughter of Almon(d) E. & Sarah Catherine (TUCKER) CROSBY, of Monroe Co., IA.
