This is not related to your George Bodenhofer question but thought I would put this out there for others to use. I had a direct e-mail from another Bodenhofer researcher looking for Talke Peake.

I see one at the LDS that is misleading showing Jacob Bodenhofer married 3 times which is incorrect. The wrong wife shown is Rebecca Ann Soesbe (1835-1898), married 1855 in Jones Co., IA. There were two Jacob Frederick Bodenhofer's in the area at the time. One was born March 4, 1799 in Wurttemberg Co., Germany and died April 14, 1889 at center Junction, Jones Co., IA. This is your line - he married 1st. Elizabeth Burger, born 1799 in Switzerland and died January 17, 1869 in Anamosa, IA. He then married 2nd Talke (correct spelling) Peake November 25, 1869. The only thing I've been able to find on her is she was born 1805 in Poland and died May 3, 1882 in Anamosa, IA and buried at the South Mineral Cemetery. Another spelling of her name I've found is Thalka Pecke.The other Jacob Frederick Bodenhofer was born May 9, 1832 in Dayton, OH and died December 19, 1903 in Anamosa. His father was George Gotlieb Bodenhofer and the father to your Jacob born 1799 was Johann Jakob Bodenhoefer (notice spelling variation).
