The Jacob I found was born March 4, 1799 in Evangelisch, Oberturkheim, Neckarkreis, Wuerttemberg, Germany and died April 14, 1889 in Center Junction, IA and buried in Clay township. He was married to Elizabeth Burger at Christ Lutheran church in York, PA March 18, 1828. She was born in Switzerland and died January 17, 1869 in Anamosa, IA. He married second to Thalka Pecke November 25, 1869 in Monticello, IA.

I find the name, age, and the 1828 US marriage compared to the 1828 arrival interesting.

The submitters of this family were:

Patricia M. Scott in Payette, ID and Thomas C. and Marsha L. Hatch of Taylorsville, UT. Their addresses are linked to this person on the LDS site. They as well as obits may help you zero in on your family which may be this family?

Listed as Jacob's parents were your possible found immigrants: Johann Jakob Bodenhoefer and Christina Rosina Ruofin.

Eric
