Have been searching for quite some time for any information about 2 of my grandfather's siblings who died in Oxford Junction. Harry Kernan age 5 died Oct. 10, 1888 and James G. Kernan age 12 died Oct. 12, 1888. I believe they both may have died of diptheria. Parents names were James and Annie Kernan. I've found a small bit of information in the Oxford Mirror that indicates James owned and ran a restaurant near the Corwin Hotel for a very short time in 1889, but I think he was employed by a railroad company for most of his married life. The family moved to Davenport, IA sometime around 1890/91, and James died in 1894. Any kind of information will be so helpful and very much appreciated. D. Lee
