Funeral services for Mrs. Omar Malone, 68, were held at the Gill chapel Saturday afternoon, October 01. Burial was in the Strawberry Point cemetery.

Lillian D. Ingles was born March 27, 1887, the daughter of William and Amanda Hart Ingles. She received a rural school education and on March 24, 1909, was married to Omar Malone at Greeley, Iowa. The couple established their home in Strawberry Point and have lived here ever since. Mrs. Malone died at the Delaware County Memorial hospital shortly before noon Sept. 29. She had been ill for some time and had been hospitalized for five and one-half weeks.

Survivors include her husband, a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Bernice) Jessen of Strawberry Point; two sisters, Mrs. Addie Mueller and Mrs. Stella Reuter, both of Dubuque; a brother, John Ingles of Edgewood; and a grandson, Douglas Jessen of Strawberry Point.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, one brother and five sisters.

Mrs. Malone was a member of the Methodist church and of the Royal Neighbors of America.
