Services were conducted Wednesday afternoon for Alfred J. H. Kruse, 52-year-old Garber farmer who died at Finley hospital in Dubuque on Monday, August 08. Services were held from St. Peter's Lutheran church at Garnavillo with burial being made in the Garnavillo cemetery
Kruse was born January 16, 1903, and was a son of Herman and Marie Schmill Kruse. He was married to Anita R. Hakert.
Besides his wife he is survived by three sons, Clark, Curtis and Clyde and a daughter, Arlene, all at home. He also leaves four brothers, Harold of Garber, Louis J. of Elkader, Herman of Strawberry Point and Leonard of Guttenberg and two sisters, Mrs. Elsie Zittergruen of Guttenberg and Mrs. Alto Fehlhafer of Farmersburg.
Pallbearers were Elmer Fritz, Haldon Reimer, Herbert Lau, Earl Matt, Billy Kruse and Reynold Scheffert.
