Mrs. Cora Mabel Straub Coffin, 74, died Thursday morning, June 09, at the home of her son Veryl Coffin of Arlington, Iowa, where she had been for two days.
Born August 27, 1880, at Chadwick, Ill., she was the daughter of William and Ellen (Gramley) Straub. On December 17, 1902, she was married to John Edward Coffin at Manchester. They lived around Strawberry Point for 45 years until the death of her husband. Since that time she has made her home with her children, living for several years here with her daughter Opal, Mrs. Harm Shaffer.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at the Methodist church in Strawberry Point, the Rev. Wayne Carlson officiating. Burial was in the Strawberry Point cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one daughter, three sisters, and two brothers. Survivors are her two daughters, Mrs. Harm Shaffer (Opal) of Strawberry Point, and Mrs. Rudy Moser (Leota) of Greeley, Iowa; two sons, John, address unknown, and Verl Coffin, Arlington, Iowa; also one brother, Henry A. Straub of Manchester, thirteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
