Clayton County Register, 09 June 1955.

Mr. Sautter was born at McGregor Dec. 28, 1865, the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Sautter and died at his home in McGregor Wednesday, June 01.

For many years he worked at a foundry in Monona. He was also employed on the railroad.

Two sons preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, the former Gladys Oliver, two sons, John, Mauston, Wis.: Fred of National; three daughters, Mrs. Francis (Elizabeth) Tipp, Oklahoma; Winifred, Texas; Mrs. Kenneth (Minnie) Saeugling, Cedar Rapids; ten grandchildren and two nephews.
