Ryan, Mattie died 1873

DIED - In McGregor, March 15th, 1873, Mattie, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. Ryan, aged 8 months.

This bright, interesting cherub was the pet of all who called each morning to get their daily papers and will be missed almost as much by them as by the parents.

There is one consoling comfort in knowing that Mattie is added to the heavenly cherubs around the throne. "For of such is the kingdom of heaven."

Note: Father possibly is Erasmus D. Ryan, buried in Pleasant Grove.
