Charles J. Reimer died last Saturday at his home in Elkport at the age of 79 years.

Mr. Reimer was born May 21, 1873, at De Kalb, Ill. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Reimer. He came here as a youth and settled on a farm near Littleport with his parents.

In 1900 he was united in marriage to Lillie Shepard. To this union one son Frank, was born. They operated a farm near Elkport until about 1951, when he retired and moved to Elkport. Mrs. Reimer preceded him in death in October, 1950. Mr. Reimer is survived by his son Frank, two brothers, Paul of Edgewood and George of Centralia, Wash.

Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. F. W. Tillmanns at the family home and from the Emmanuel Lutheran church in Elkport Tuesday.

Pallbearers were: Henry Ortman, L. L. Waterman, John Thein, Delores Thein, Clyde Rentschler and Willis Lewin. Burial was made in Union cemetery near Littleport.
