From the Thurs., 6 Nov. 1913 issue of the "Register and Argus" (Elkader, IA), Obituary section, page 2, column 5:

MISS CATHERINE MORAN.

Miss Catherine Moran, a resident of this place until about fourteen years ago, died in the hospital at Rochester, Minn., on Wednesday morning, and her remains were brought to Elkader Friday evening.

Miss Moran was born in Elkader about fifty-two years ago and since leaving here followed the dress-making trade at Colorado Springs, Col., until about eight months ago, since which time she has been taking treatment at Rochester.

Deceased is survived by three brothers, Will J. Moran, of Elkader; David G. Moran, of Dubuque, and Frank, in California, besides other relatives and friends.

The funeral services were held Saturday morning from the Will Moran home and interment was made in the Catholic cemetery.
