Funeral services for Mrs. Catherine Carrier, 81, were held at the Gill chapel in Strawberry Point Saturday afternoon, June 22, with the Rev. S. J. Meyer conducting the service. Burial was in the Strawberry Point cemetery.

Mrs. Carrier was born April 29, 1876, at Garnavillo, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Margaret Kuenzel Harberg. On Dec. 23, 1896, she was married to Glint Carrier at Garnavillo. Following the death of her husband several years ago she had made her home part of the time in Strawberry Point and sometimes with her children. Recently she had lived at the Lutheran Home for the Aged in Strawberry Point.

She suffered a stroke a few days before her death, which occurred June 19 at the Delaware County Memorial hospital in Manchester.

Survivors include three children, 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. The children are: Mrs. Arthur (Marguerite) Frick, Grand Rapids, Minn.; Mrs. Martin (Ina) Eggert, Leavenworth, Kan.; and Clyde Carrier, Compton, Calif.
