Funeral services for Henry Forsythe, 69, of Lamont, Iowa, were held at the Gill funeral chapel in Strawberry Point on Monday afternoon, April 29, with the Rev. H. Conrath officiating. Burial was in the Noble cemetery northeast of Strawberry Point.

Henry Forsythe was born on September 15, 1887, in Clayton county, the son of William J. and Clara Letts Forsythe. He was married to Nellie Christopher and worked most of his lifetime in this vicinity as a farm laborer. He died at People's hospital in Independence on April 27, following a brief illness.

He is survived by a son, Henry Forsythe Jr., of Lamont; four sisters, Mrs. John Williams of Manchester, Mrs. Robert Lathrop of Winthrop, Mrs. Will Bandy of Dundee and Mrs. Catherine Straw of Independence; and five brothers, Harry Forsythe of Garber, Clarence Forsythe of Independence, Peter Hines of Winthrop, Vernie Hines and Richard Hines, both of Independence. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two sons and a daughter.
