Funeral services for Fredrick William Riemath, 72, were held at Emanuel Lutheran church in Strawberry Point on Monday afternoon, April 29, with the Rev. S. J. Meyer officiating. Burial was in the Strawberry Point cemetery.
Mr. Riemath was born in the St. Sebald community near Strawberry Point on July 31, 1884, the son of Carl Riemath and Louisa Struckman Riemath. He received a rural school education and on May 05, 1905, was married to Clara Schneider at Strawberry Point. The couple farmed the greater part of their married lives in the Strawberry Point area. Following the death of his wife several years ago, Mr. Riemath continued to live on his farm near Strawberry Point. He died early Friday at a Manchester hospital following a brief illness.
He is survived by three children: Bertha M. Riemath, Mrs. Malcolm (Fern) Kramer and Richard E. Riemath, all of Strawberry Point; four grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Emma Handle of Arlington, and Mrs. Mary Farmer of Britt, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
