Mrs. Mahelia Dorothea Dahlstrom was born March 31, 1902, in Read township, Clayton county, Iowa, the daughter of August and Minnie (Nee) Rieckoff Mahnke, and died Monday, April 15, 1957, at her home in Farmersburg, after an illness of one and a half years.
On March 15, 1922, She was united in marriage to Hervey Dahlstrom at Monona. With the exception of two years, when she lived in Wisconsin, she spent her entire life in or near Farmersburg.
She was a member of the St. John Lutheran church, the Ladies Aid and mission unit of that church and the Royal Neighbors lodge.
Mrs. Dahlstrom was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband and one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Dorothy) Gronlund, Los Angeles, Calif.; three grandchildren, Gaye, Robin anf Gregg Gronlund; two brothers, Elmer Mahnke, Madison, Wis.; and Harvey Mahne, San Leandro, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Hugo (Olga) Oelke, Farmersburg, and Mrs. Milton (Alice) Monlux of Elkader.
Funeral services were held April 17 1957, at 2:00 p.m. at the St. John Lutheran church with the Rev. R. H. Steege officiating.
Pallbearers were: William Reardon, Harley Palas, Bruce Little, ______ Kr__g_r, Kenneth _____ing, and John Bossard Sr.
Burial was in the Farmersburg-Wagner cemetery
