Funeral services for Joseph Grant Fox, 85, of Arlington, were held Tuesday, April 23, at 2:00 p.m. in the Gill chapel in Strawberry Point. Interment was in the Strawberry Point cemetery.

Born at Farmersburg, Iowa, on September 20, 1871, he was the sixth child of Daniel E. and Rachel A. Partlowe, one of thirteen children. On April 13, 1907, he was married to Emma L. J. Chapman of Strawberry Point. He was a retired farmer and insurance agent, he enjoyed trading, gardening, making things convenient in a home, being a good neighbor and sharing with others.

He was preceded in death by the entire family of Daniel and Rachel Fox. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Emma Fox, Arlington, one daughter, Mrs. Parker (Gladys) Davis, Fayette, and one son, Dale of Waterloo. There are also three grandchildren, Daryl Davis of Wichita, Kansas, Gordon of Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas, and Joan Iren Davis, Fayette.
