Funeral services for Henry T. Embretson, St. Olaf, were held Saturday, March 02, at 1:30 p.m. from the St. Olaf chapel to Norway church at 2:00 p.m., with the Rev. Bruce Boyce officiating. Burial was in the Norway cemetery.
Henry T. Embretson, son of Toston Embretson and Christina Larson Embretson, was born April 30, 1875, at St. Olaf, Iowa. He died Feb. 28, 1957, at Dubuque, Iowa, following a lingering illness, at the age of 81 years and 10 months.
He was baptized and confirmed in Norway Lutheran church where he was a lifelong member.
On October 30, 1897, he was united in marriage to Emma O. Wold. They spent most of their lives in St. Olaf, where Mr. Embretson was a merchant.
Mr. Embretson was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, three brothers and four sistes.
He is survived by three children: Lenora, Mrs. E. F. Wilke of Monona, Vernett of Elkader, and Aden of Billings, Mont. Four grandchildren: Warren and Thomas Wilke and Cynthia and Gary Embretson, and two great-grandchildren.
