Clayton County Register, 14 Feb. 1957.

Joseph Hamilton Moore was born Aug. 25, 1872, at Manson, Iowa, and died at Riverview hospital, Guttenberg, Feb. 06, 1957.

Mr. Moore spent most of his life in Clayton county. He resided for a time in Waterloo, Mason City, and Strawberry Point.

Mr. Moore never married and worked as a laborer, for the greater part of his life as a farm laborer.

He had been in failing health for a number of years and was taken to the Riverview hospital two weeks before his death. Previous to that he made his home with Mr. and Mrs. Wm. McLane of Elkader.

Mr. Moore is survived by his sister, Mrs. Wm. McLane, and one niece, Mrs. Ruby Peterson.

Services were held Saturday, Feb. 09, at the Witt funeral chapel, with the Rev. Paul Kitterer officiating.

Burial was at the Mt. Harmony cemetery, Elkport, Iowa.
