Mrs. Fannie Feeney died suddenly of cerebral thrombosis Sunday morning, Jan. 27, at Hartford, Wis. She had been living at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fred Schroeder, for the past nine months and was in failing health the past year.
Mrs. Feeney was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Hannon of Volga. She was born June 01, 187_, at Elkader, and was a lifelong member of St. Joseph's church.
On Sept. 14, 1897, she was married to Peter Feeney at St. Joseph's church, Elkader. He and a daughter, Anne (Mrs. Las Kass), preceded her in death. Five children survive: Gerald, Elkader; Ralph, Strawberry Point; Joe, Milwaukee; Mae, Mrs. Fred Schroeder, and Helen, Hartford, Wis.; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Roach, Elkader, and Ella, Mrs. John Shea, Volga.
The funeral mass was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, at St. Joseph's church. Burial was in St. Joseph's cemetery. Msgr. Danial Gorman officiated. Pallbearers were Leo Roach, John Roach, Ed Filley, Ray Welsh, Willie Orr, and George Cassutt.
