William Shea, 72, died Tuesday, Sept. 22, at 10:30 P.M., at the hospital in Iowa City. He suffered a stroke last Sunday and has been in the hospital the past few weeks. The remains were brought to the Blake & Gill Funeral Home here Wednesday. Funeral services will be Friday at 10:00 a.m. in the Sacred Heart Church.

VOLGA CITY: Funeral services were held at the Sacred Heart Catholic church here Friday at 10 o'clock for William Shea, 72, who died Tuesday at 10:30 p.m. at Iowa City. The Rev. D. T. Noonan, pastor, celebrated the Requiem high mass and also said prayers at the graveside.
Mr. Shea had been a patient in Iowa City for the past five weeks and had suffered two strokes. He spent practically his entire lifetime on his farm south of town.
He is survived by one brother, John, of Volga; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Little and Mrs. Rose Glennon, Volga; Mrs. Julia Bergan, Elkader, and Mrs. Kate Crowley, Pittsville, Wis., also several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and three brothers.
Casket-bearers were nephews of the deceased: Francis Little, Cecil Glennon, Thomas Bergan, Frank, Donald and James Shea. Burial was in Sacred Heart cemetery here. The remains were brought to the Blake and Gill funeral home here preceding the funeral.
