Funeral services for Charles Sautter, aged 28, who died from the effects of injuries received early Wednesday morning when a train ran over him, were held Saturday afternoon from the local Lutheran church, with the Rev. H. W. Siefkes officiating, and burial was made in the City cemetery. Pallbearers were Gerald Lestina, Norbert Fritz, Elmer Taake, Albert Voelzke, Jr., Leo Vlazney, and Gaylord Trappe.

He was born April 14, 1914, near Monona, the son of William and Gladys Oliver Sautter. He attended rural schools and has been employed as a farm hand. He never married. Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Sautter of Froelich, three brothers, Jacob, George and Fred Sautter of Monona and three sisters, Minnie and Elizabeth of Rockford, Ill., and Winifred of Monona.
