Funeral services for Manuel Sherbonda, aged 74, were held Thursday afternoon from the Schultz Funeral Home and at two o'clock from the Methodist church with the Rev. H. W. Farnham officiating. Burial was made beside his wife.

Mr. Sherbonda was born March 11, 1867, north of Monona, the son of Andrew and Sarah Bolger Sherbonda. He was the last survivor of a large family of children. January 30, 1895, he was married to Miss Laura Mitchell who died October 29, 1939. Two sons survive him, Leslie and Hermie Sherbonda and two granddaughters. Mr. Sherbonda spent all his life on the farm north of town with the exception of the last four years when he lived in Monona. Several weeks ago he was taken to the Community hospital in Postville where his death occurred due to leakage of the heart.

The pallbearers were Mike Peters, William Biggs, Henry A. Krueger, Del Rose, Ora Smith, Frank Melcher, George Humke, Fred Funk and George Peters.
