Clayton County Register, 13 Aug. 1941.
VOLGA: Paul Yearous, born Sept. 17, 1896, only child of the late William Yearous and Mrs. Blanche Chesley Yearous, died at his home here Sunday afternoon following a short illness, at the age of 44 years.
He was taken ill Friday when he went for a walk in Pine Grove north of town. Relatives became alarmed at his long absence and when they found him he was unconscious and they brought him to his home here. He has been in failing health for quite some time and it is thought he suffered a stroke.
For a number of years he lived with his parents on the home farm in Highland township. Last winter he and his mother moved to Volga to establish their home. His father preceded him in death in April, 1938. Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Blanche Yearous of Volga, and several uncles, aunts and cousins.
The body was taken to the Muenthaler funeral home at Elgin and funeral services were held Tuesday at 1:30 at the Illyria church with burial in the cemetery there.
