Funeral services for Edward Scott, 75, of Marquette, was held at the Pilkington Funeral home in McGregor, Thursday afternoon, June 12, 1941, Rev. Glenn McMichael pastor of the Methodist church officiating. Burial was made in Pleasant Grove cemetery. Mr. Scott died of a heart attack while in his car and just as he was ready to start the car. He was born in Ithica, N.Y., Feb. 03, 1866, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Scott, coming to Iowa when a boy. He came to Marquette 52 years ago and had lived there ever since, being employed as a machinist in the Milwaukee shops, until he retired four years ago. He is survived by his wife, a son Donald, and a daughter, Mrs. Arthur Erickson, both of Dubuque; two grandchildren; a sister and two brothers.
