Funeral services for William Nodurft were held at the Emanuel's Lutheran church Saturday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. Lawrence A. Stumme. Burial was made in the Strawberry Point cemetery. As a son of William and Minnie Nodurft, he was born at Hanover, Germany, Nov. 27, 1856 and died at his home Thursday morning after a lingering illness. The family emigrated to America in 1857 and settled at Platteville, Wisconsin. In 1876 they came to Strawberry Point and settled on a farm west of town. On December 14, 1882 he was married to Louise Otdoerfer at the St. Sebald Lutheran church by the late Rev. G. Fuehr. To this union were born four children, one dying in infancy. The home was made on a farm for twenty years when they retired and moved to town to enjoy the fruits of their labor. Together with their children, grandchildren, relatives and friends they were privileged to celebrate their golden wedding anniversary which was a great event for them. Surviving are the wife and three children, Mrs. Louie Fredrick, George Nodurft and Fred Nodurft, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren all of Strawberry Point, also three sisters, Mrs. Minnie Otdoerfer of Strawberry Point, Mrs. Mary Longhenry and Mrs. Lena Gregory of Platteville, Wisconsin.
