William Dannenbring, a longtime resident of Clayton county, died Monday morning, March 10, at the age of 71 years, seven months and 18 days.

The deceased was the son of Louis and Sophie, nee Fischer, Danenbring. He was born in Jefferson township on July 20, 1869. He never married but made his home near Elkport until seven years ago when he moved, with his nephew to a farm near McGregor.

During the time near Elkport, he was a regular attendant at Immanuel Lutheran church often walking several miles to attend services.

He is survived by nine nieces and nephews. His parents, one sister and three brothers preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held on March 18th in Immanuel Lutheran church at Elkport, with the Rev. Paul Kenyon officiating. Burial followed in the Lutheran cemetery with Henry Kottman, Henry Wagner, James Garaghty, Fred Haas, Arlo Johanningmeier and Enich Anderson serving as pallbearers.
