MCGREGOR: Mrs. James Williamson, 78, of Marquette, died at McGregor hospital Feb. 10, 1941, after an illness of several weeks. Funeral services were held at St. Mary's Catholic church Wednesday morning, conducted by Rev. Father Horsfield. Bridget Della Murphy, daughter of Thomas and Kathryn Murphy, was born March 12, 1862, in Waterford, Ireland. When a girl of seventeen years of age she came to the United States, coming to the little station of Beulah, where she made her home with an aunt, Mrs. John Hayes. Later she took up the trade of seamstress and was employed in McGregor. On October 07, 1883, she was married to James Williamson of McGregor, who had come from Scotland in 1871. Their wedding was the second to be performed in the present Catholic church, which had been completed in 1882. Three sons were born to this couple. Frank, the oldest, was killed in 1906 at the age of 21, while employed by the Milwaukee railroad; Harry, the second, died in 1916 at the age of 30 and Edwin died in 1889 at the age of 16 months. Mr. and Mrs. Williamson lived in Marquette from the time of their marriage. Mr. Williamson died Nov. 12, 1940. Mrs. Williamson is survived by one sister, Mrs. Harry Williams of Chicago, who attended the funeral with her husband. Burial was made in St. Mar's cemetery.
