It gives us sorrow to make mention of the death of Chas Carrier, of Co. "K" first Iowa cavalry, of typhoid fever. Charley has been for several months in delicate health, and finally has been compelled to succumb to an inevitable fate.
He died on the 12th, and was buried with military honors. He was the favorite of his company and has not a living enemy.
