Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Methodist church for Mrs. Adella Allard, 86, conducted by the Rev. G. W. McMichael, pastor of the church. Mrs. Allard died Thursday night, Jan. 16, at the home of her son Will, with whom she has made her home for the past few years. She was born on a farm near Monona, her parents being Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schriver. When she was a child the family moved to Viroqua, Wis., where she lived until her marriage to Thomas Allard, Oct. 06, 1872. About 35 years ago they moved to McGregor, living on a farm for a while and later moving into town. Mr. Allard died 21 years ago and Mrs. Allard then made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Henry Albeck. Mrs. Albeck, the only daughter, died several years ago. Mrs. Allard is survived by two sons, George of Monticello, and Will of McGregor; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; one brother, Charles Schriver of Racine, Wis., and one sister, Mrs. Laura Smith of Eureka, Cal. Burial was made in Pleasant Grove cemetery at McGregor.
