GARBER: Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from the Elkport Lutheran church for Mrs. Emma Dannenbring, who died suddenly Thursday morning of heart trouble. The Rev. Paul Kenyon officiated and burial was in the Lutheran cemetery.
Mrs. Dannenbring was born in Volga township, Clayton county, on September 18, 1871, the daughter of John and Dorothy Henricks. She was married June 26, 1891, to Louis Dannenbring, who died in 1926. In 1921, they moved to Garber from their farm home. Mrs. Dannenbring was baptized in infancy in the Lutheran faith and was confirmed in Immanuel Lutheran church on March 29, 1885.
She leaves two children, Mrs. Melinda Kregel of Garnavillo, and Herman Dannenbring of McGregor; two brothers, William and John, both of Garber; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Bruening of Osterdock, Mrs. Bertha Bruening of Monona, and Miss Lena Henricks of Garber. Also two granddaughters, Mrs. Irene Adney and Dorothy Kregel.
