She was married in New York to Ira Perry, living there a number of years, thence moving west and settling on a farm near Aurora, Ill. They afterward moved to Garnavillo and later, purchased the old "Mission Farm", near Ion, where she resided until after Mr. Perry's death, living with her youngest son, Eugene.

In 1876, she married Mr. Henderson of Rossville, Iowa, after his death she lived with her children, spending the most of her time with Mrs. Brooks, and the last few years with Mrs. White.

After enjoying the best of health all winter she passed peacefully away at the home of her daughter Mrs. Brooks, where she and her daughter Caroline had spent the winter. On Saturday before her demise, she became unconscious, dying at 10:30 Sunday night.

She had been a faithful member of the Baptist church, a great many years. Was beloved by all for her genial hospitable disposition.
