Funeral services for Mrs. Caroline Hagensick, 83, were held at the Methodist church in Marquette at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon, Nov. 11. The Rev. E. J. Steinman officiated. Burial was in the Pleasant Grove cemetery. Mrs. Hagensick died suddenly of a heart attack at her home in Marquette Tuesday, Nov. 09.
Caroline Trumm was born qn a farm near Woodman, Wis., Dec. 05, 1865, the daughter of Daniel and Margaret Trumm. She was confirmed in the German Presbyterian church near her home and received her education in the schools in that locality.
On Dec. 12, 1895, she was united in marriage with John Hagensick of McGregor. The new home was made in Marquette where she lived for more than 52 years.
She is survived by three children, Everett Hagensick, treasurer of Clayton county; Mrs. Henry (Leota) Wacker, Marquette; and Mrs. Ernest (Gertrude) Nicholson, McGregor: one sister, Mrs. Louisa Cox of Boscobel, Wis.; two grandchildren, Mrs. Everett (Pat) Warford of Council Bluffs, and John Nicholson, Pensacola, Fla.; also one great-grandchild, Marsha Nicholson, Pensacola, Fla.
Her husband preceded her in death in January, 1919, also two children in infancy and six brothers and four sisters.
Pallbearers were six nephews, namely: Harry and Louis Wellner. LaVern Trumm, of Boscobel, Wis., Joseph Koresh, Prairie du Chien, Wis., and Irvin and Frederick Becker, McGregor.
