Services were held Friday afternoon in McGregor, Iowa, for George Henry Wacker, 75, who died Tuesday evening, Nov. 09, 1948, at the home of his son Henry in Marquette. The Rev. E. G. Steinman, pastor of the Marquette Methodist church, officiated and burial was in Pleasant Grove cemetery.

Mr. Wacker was born on a farm near Mederville, Iowa, May 05, 1873, the son of Henry and Mary Wacker. His early life was spent farming and his railroad career started in the C.M. St.P.&P. railroad bridge and building department in 1895, retiring in 1936.

He was married to Adelia Romig of Dubuque, Iowa, in 1893, and to this union was born one son, Henry. Their home was made in Dubuque.

His wife preceded him in death.

He is survived by his son, Henry; one granddaughter Pat (Mrs. Everett W. Warford) of Council Bluffs; five sisters, Margaret Pugh of Centralia, Wash., Carrie Kerrio of Olympia, Wash., Marie Alden of Bonaparte, Iowa, Anna Leonard of Elkader, Betty Wacker of Cedar Rapids, and two brothers, Chris. of Mederville and Frank of Elkader.
