Funeral services for Charles Noack, Jefferson township farmer, were held at the Tuecke funeral home in Guttenberg Tuesday afternoon. The Rev. J. F. Eschbaugh officiated.
Mr. Noack died Saturday afternoon, Oct. 16, at Finley hospital, Dubuque, following an emergency operation. His age was 60 years and 28 days.
He was born Sept. 18, 1888, in Jefferson township, near Osterdock, the son of Peter S. and Emeline Bowman Noack, and spent his entire life in that community. On Nov. 06, 1918, he was married to Marie Friedlein, at Guttenberg.
Surviving are his wife and one son, Woodrow; four sisters, Mrs. J. C. Kickbush and Mrs. John Morarend, Osterdock, Mrs. John H. Becker, Guttenberg, and Mrs. Florence Kauffman, Cedar Rapids; three brothers, W. A. Noack of Osterdock and P. A. Noack and Garrison Noack of Guttenberg.
His parents, three brothers, Samuel D., James and Fred Noack, and one sister, Mrs. Mary Morley, preceded him in death.
Burial was in the Guttenberg cemetery. Pallbearers were Chris Duwe, Bert Seeman, Ernest Wolter, Elmer Every, Elmer Kotke, and Andy Moser.
