DIED - At McGregor, Jan. 11th, Sarah, wife of Thomas Kelly, aged 32 years.

The funeral sermon was preached at the Catholic Church by Rev. B.C. Lenahan, of this city, to a large circle of bereaved friends.

A husband and four children are left to mourn the loss of a faithful wife and a fond mother.

May the Father of Mercies give the aged mother, husband, brothers and sisters strength to bear the great loss. They have the consolation of knowing that she lived a true Christian, and that she was buried according to the rites of her church.

- Marriage of Thomas Kelley & Miss Sarah Cain occurred 12/16/1853 in Highland, OH (ancestry database Ohio marriages)
-Thomas & Sarah KELLEY are enumerated on the 1860 U.S. census in Mendon twp., he is 26y and she 24y, both born Ireland. Children: Ellen, 5 & Sarah, 4. Also in household is James Kelley, 28y, b. Ireland
-She might be buried in St. Mary's cemetery, McGregor, but confirmation is needed
-Her daughter Ellen married Royal F. Johnson, census records indicate she was older than 5yrs when her mother died - her gravestone in Forest Home cemetery, Chicago gives dates 1858-1910
